OMZ-Special Steels received Certificate of Recognition as Manufacturer of shipbuilding steel sheets of category PC D500W, PC E500W, PC F500W and two-layer steel sheets of category PC F36(S)Z/317L(N) from Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The above mentioned materials satisfy requirements for construction and equipment of sea vessels, floating drilling rigs and stationary offshore drilling platforms.

May. Solid-cast rotor wheel for hydro-power engineering application was manufactured by OMZ-Special Steels Castings Division under the agreement with Uralgidromash. The weight of this constructional steel wheel is 10,5 tons, and the diameter is 2,5m.  Similar pieces were produced by welding before, which means all parts (hubs, rims and blades) were casted separately and assembled and welded by the customer.

St. Petersburg TEСHNICAL FAIR was held in Saint-Petersburg (LENEXPO, Gavan) from 14-th through 17-th March.

A number of expositions: "Metallurgic Engineering", "Foundry Work", "Metalworking", "Tools", " Drives and Actuating Members", "Compressors. Pumps. Accessories", "Bearings" were arranget as part of the TEСHNICAL FAIR.

OMZ-Special Steels Ltd., as the largest Supplier of metallurgical stock material, participated in "Metallurgic Engineering. Foundry Work" expositions.

During a period of its work St. Petersburg TEСHNICAL FAIR was visited by about  7 (seven) thousand professionals from 150 cities of Russia and 11 (eleven) world countries, such as Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Czechia, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus.

Within the framework of St.Petersburg TEСHNICAL FAIR  it was held a prize-giving ceremony-"Leader of Russian Business in Metallurgic Engineering and Machine-Building". In token of progress recognition the Prize was awarded to the best top managers on the basis of independent researches of RBK. Rating Agency.  Mr. Sergey Lipsky was admitted as a prize winner in the field of machine building.

OMZ-Special Steels Ltd. were awarded a diploma for active participation in an international specialized exhibition and contribution to industrial growth of Northwest regional area.

Plates were manufactured from new steel grade 04Х20Н6Г11М2АФБ. Fabrication practice was developed in collaboration with Prometey TSNII KM (Central Research and Development Institute of Structural Materials).
